Alabama Gymnastics

I have always appreciated gymnastics - It should be considered an extreme sport some of the things they do.  Since we have moved to Alabama we have not stopped hearing about the Gymnastics team at the university.  Soon I became friends and bike riding partners with David Patterson one of the coaches at Alabama.  Once we experienced the first meet we were hooked.  The Patterson's over the past 30 YEARS have done such a great job building the program, and making it a community event.  It is amazing to see 13,000 people at a gymnastics meet.  The last meet was the "Pink Meet" raising awareness and funds for breast cancer.  I am sure we will only become bigger die hard fans as the years go on.

Mexico Pictures

A couple of years ago I went to Matamoros, Mexico. While there our group visited prisoners, put on a childrens camp, fed families, as well as many other things. Matamoros has such a special place in my life - this summer I am leading a group that is going to Mexico and in honor of that I thought I would post some pictures from my last trip. If you ever have a chance to go on a service trip where you give of your time, talents, and resources you will not regret it.

My Niece Abbi Page

Over Christmas I got to hang out with my new niece Abbi. Melissa's sister Jen and her husband Dave are the new proud parents. I have 2 nephews, 2 nieces, and 1 on the way on my side of the family - so this is the first grandchild on the Kayser side. She is such a cute baby and really easy to capture on film. We love her so much and can't wait to be a support in raising her. She just might be the most photographed baby ever with both grandpa's having DSLR camera's as well. We love you Abbi and so glad your part of our family.

Hunting Dog

This last weekend we went to the Hartley's camp house for the ACA girls soccer retreat. At the camp house were two dogs that are used for hunting rabbits. I got some great pics of them both. The camp house was in Moundville and some of their property had swamp land that reminded me of Louisiana. We had a great time in the remote countryside and at night the sky was filled with stars - too beautiful.

ACA Women's Soccer Seniors

Melissa and I have the privilege of coaching soccer at a local school here in Tuscaloosa. We have really looked at coaching as an opportunity to build into the students lives and develop them not only as players but as people. On our team we have 5 seniors and I decided to take them out for a photo shoot on our retreat that we had recently. We are so proud of the seniors leadership on the team and we are looking for to the season.

TUSCALOOSA

My wife Melissa and I recently moved to Tuscaloosa, AL. We were originally from Michigan - needless to say the winters have been a little different. I am not a big fan of snow - so the mild winter has been great for me. I am still able to be active all year long. We miss our family in Michigan greatly but we know this is where we are supposed to be. A couple days after I got my new camera I decided to tour the city of Tuscaloosa and snap some pictures.

Dan & Julie

We are currently updating the church at tuscaloosa website. [ www.churchattuscaloosa.com ] In the process I noticed that on Dan's page there was no picture of him and Julie. On a Sunday afternoon I went over and snapped a couple photos of them at their house. Dan is the teaching pastor at TCAT and we have been so grateful to have them in our lives. They are lost fanatics just like Melissa and I - so tonight we are watching the season 4 - 2 hour kickoff together. Being from Michigan I can't believe I took these pictures outside in the middle of January - that is something I never would have been able to do up north.
