As many of you know we partner with some amazing non profits. This last Tuesday we threw a gift card house party to benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tuscaloosa. My good friend Jeff Shinabarger started a non-profit called www.giftcardgiver.com - there is billions of dollars in unused gift cards every year. So what they do is collect them and then distribute them to organizations that are doing good in our world. So if you have a little left on the gift card and don't know what to do with it - send it in to them and put it to work.
I also want to plug Big Brothers and Big Sisters. No matter where you live the simple concept of spending time with a student just listening, reading, helping with homework, or eating lunch with them makes a huge impact. I am starting with my student in September and cannot wait.
